Long ride across Oregon
We left Medford and headed to Klamath Falls, there are no falls in Klamath Falls. The best part of this part of the trip was Crater Lake. It is an unbelievable blue, I am not sure the photos will do it justice. The height at which you view the lake is wonderful. After that we rode, to Bend, OR. We did not get a campsite so we stayed in a motel with no Internet.Tonight (Sunday) we are in Boise, ID. We are on the trip home. In the morning we will head to Sun Valley, ID, so this will be more of a northern route then the way we came here on the 1st.I will see you all real soon. I miss you all.

Photos and last day at the Ocean
08/05/05 – Day started with the bike not wanting to start, but with the help of some near by campers, one of them was from Vancouver Canada, they gave me a push to get the bike started. It seems to be a starter problem, or a battery problem. To night in Port Orford, Mark and I cleaned the battery connections and the starter connection. We hope for the best tomorrow.Plan drive is to head in to California and see the giant red woods. After that it is off to Medford or Kalmath falls.

The fog at Brookings, what the day started out like on the ride from Humbug to Medford, by way of Califronia. We wanted to see the big Redwoods, so we headed down 101 to Orick, turn to see the trees at Lady Bird Johnson Grove and Redwood Creek Overlook. We then headed to I-5 by way of Weitchpec, which turned out to be 26 miles of gravel road, that had a lot of twists and truns, that took over 1.5 hours. We never knew we had dirt bikes, but now we do. We are fine, but the bikes are a bit dirty.

the ocean at 3:30
I saw the Ocean at 3:30, August 3, 2005, at Newport. What a site it was. The air was cold, the wind was blowing, and I was at the ocean.Mark and I then headed to the camp site at Beverly Beach. Got our campsite set up, went back to Newport for some supplies and supper. We got back the camp site in time to whatch the sun set on the beach.Today August 4 th, we travel down Hy 101. The ocean views are magnificent. We photographed a lot of it, every stop we made in-fact. I am in the Library at Port Orford, OR, so I am not able to upload the photos, but will do so when we check in to a motel that has internet.Tonight we are camping at Humbug State Park. It is warmer here in the south of Oregon then it was up by Newport.I am having the best time, I am thankful Mark is here with me. He has more then enhaced the journey, he has helped me get here and enjoy it all. Thanks Mark!I miss you all very much and look forward to showing you all the photos, until I return . . .I miss you all

Bend OR bust
The ride from Idaho Falls was great, and smooth. The mountains by Craters of the Moon were real beautiful. We split a gap between the rainstorms and did not get wet at all. We were going to camp in Boise, but the camp site we got was an RV spot, all covered with gravel on pavement, we tried to drive a stake to see if we could, we couldn’t, so we stayed in a motel 6.Headed out to Bend, OR after a good breakfast. Mark coined the term for the day, “Bend OR bust.” Once we got off the interstate the traffic was light to non-existent. Really nice looking country out here, it has a little bit of Wyoming, a little Nebraska farmland, and some of mountains of Idaho. Here are a few of the photos from alone the way.We are planning to be at the cost by the end of Wednesday. It is only about a 5-hour ride. Will write more when I can.I miss you all

Rain over the Pass

The ride from Chadron to Casper was good, with not many highlights. Got in to Casper by 3:30 and met up with Mark at the K-Mart. I got to see Mark motorcycle for the first time up close, it is an outstanding ride. Left for Idaho at 7:30 a.m. on Friday. It was an easy ride until we got to Dubois, WY. It was then that we sure could feel the rain. We put on the rain gear and got ready for the pass. Most of it was good, then we really hit the rain. Stop in Moragn just to make sure everything was OK and headed on from there. The rain let up on the front range by the Tetons. Photo op time . . . We made it to Idaho Falls by 3:00 or so, in time to get to the gold tournament. Mark and Kade were a team in the 5-year-olds, Chase and I teamed up in the 9-year-olds class. Chase and I won! It was a lot of fun. More later . . . I miss you all luv dewayne
