One June 20, Logan and I will be off to New Mexico to meet up with Tom. Then on Friday, we will load up the Pantara and head to Fort Worth, TX. to get the trans fixed. This will the first real long road trip Logan and I will do. I enjoy road trips I hope Logan catchs the passion.dg
We are back in Idaho Falls, got here last night. I will post some photos, later. All is well. I will rest here for a day, then it is off to Chadron. I am coming home, and it feels really good.I miss you
We left Medford and headed to Klamath Falls, there are no falls in Klamath Falls. The best part of this part of the trip was Crater Lake. It is an unbelievable blue, I am not sure the photos will do it justice. The height at which you view the lake is wonderful. After that we rode, to Bend, OR. We did not get a campsite so we stayed in a motel with no Internet.Tonight (Sunday) we are in Boise, ID. We are on the trip home. In the morning we will head to Sun Valley, ID, so this will be more of a northern route then the way we came here on the 1st.I will see you all real soon. I miss you all.
Today we are going to Klamath Falls and Crater Lake. We plan on camping at Tumalo State Park just out side of Bend,OR., thus it maybe be a two day before I can catch you all up on the route.miss you all
love dewayneView from Redwood Park over look, the very last view of the Ocean. . . . 🙂
08/05/05 – Day started with the bike not wanting to start, but with the help of some near by campers, one of them was from Vancouver Canada, they gave me a push to get the bike started. It seems to be a starter problem, or a battery problem. To night in Port Orford, Mark and I cleaned the battery connections and the starter connection. We hope for the best tomorrow.Plan drive is to head in to California and see the giant red woods. After that it is off to Medford or Kalmath falls.

The fog at Brookings, what the day started out like on the ride from Humbug to Medford, by way of Califronia. We wanted to see the big Redwoods, so we headed down 101 to Orick, turn to see the trees at Lady Bird Johnson Grove and Redwood Creek Overlook. We then headed to I-5 by way of Weitchpec, which turned out to be 26 miles of gravel road, that had a lot of twists and truns, that took over 1.5 hours. We never knew we had dirt bikes, but now we do. We are fine, but the bikes are a bit dirty.

I saw the Ocean at 3:30, August 3, 2005, at Newport. What a site it was. The air was cold, the wind was blowing, and I was at the ocean.Mark and I then headed to the camp site at Beverly Beach. Got our campsite set up, went back to Newport for some supplies and supper. We got back the camp site in time to whatch the sun set on the beach.Today August 4 th, we travel down Hy 101. The ocean views are magnificent. We photographed a lot of it, every stop we made in-fact. I am in the Library at Port Orford, OR, so I am not able to upload the photos, but will do so when we check in to a motel that has internet.Tonight we are camping at Humbug State Park. It is warmer here in the south of Oregon then it was up by Newport.I am having the best time, I am thankful Mark is here with me. He has more then enhaced the journey, he has helped me get here and enjoy it all. Thanks Mark!I miss you all very much and look forward to showing you all the photos, until I return . . .I miss you all
We made it to Bend without breaking. We are now heading off to Newport by way Corvallis. We plan to camp, so it may be a few days before I will be able to post more.all my best
The ride from Idaho Falls was great, and smooth. The mountains by Craters of the Moon were real beautiful. We split a gap between the rainstorms and did not get wet at all. We were going to camp in Boise, but the camp site we got was an RV spot, all covered with gravel on pavement, we tried to drive a stake to see if we could, we couldn’t, so we stayed in a motel 6.Headed out to Bend, OR after a good breakfast. Mark coined the term for the day, “Bend OR bust.” Once we got off the interstate the traffic was light to non-existent. Really nice looking country out here, it has a little bit of Wyoming, a little Nebraska farmland, and some of mountains of Idaho. Here are a few of the photos from alone the way.We are planning to be at the cost by the end of Wednesday. It is only about a 5-hour ride. Will write more when I can.I miss you all
